Massive turn of events for Noah Hanifin contract and Golden Knights

The Vegas Golden Knights made a blockbuster to land Noah Hanifin at the trade deadline, and now the former Calgary Flames star is locked in.

While it's been rumoured since he landed in Vegas, Noah Hanifin is now officially locked in for a long time to come, with the team making the announcement on social media.





The 27-year old has starred for the Calgary Flames over the past several years, and now he gets the chance to chase a Stanley Cup with the defending Champions.



According to Pierre LeBrun, the deal is worth $7.35 million per year, significantly more than he could have got with his former team, and now the NHL Insider has given an in depth look at the deal.



The deal carries him through his age 35 season, with major signing bonuses making up his money in the first four years, before his salary kicks up to $5.7 million for the final year of the deal.



If he continues on his current trajectory, this is a fantastic deal for both parties, and will give a major boost to a blue line that needed to get younger.
