Tavares Scores 1000th Point Against Former Team

During last night's matchup between the Maple Leafs and the Islanders, Tavares accomplished a significant milestone: he scored his 1000th career point.

He did so with only seven seconds remaining in the game, pushing it into overtime.

After the goal, the Leafs' bench emptied as players joined their captain in celebration, all while being showered with boos.
