Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid informed the Edmonton Oilers' management of their future intentions with the team, according to Frank Seravalli.

McDavid and Draisaitl, in their 9th and 10th seasons in the NHL, have been carrying the Oilers once again this year, and they finally made it to the Stanley Cup Finals.
Unfortunately, they have lost the first three games against the Florida Panthers, and their season could end tonight as the Panthers and the Oilers meet on the ice in Edmonton for Game 4.
Despite their current tough situation, it seems that they don't plan on leaving the team.
According to Frank Seravalli, both McDavid and Draisaitl made it clear to the Oilers management that they want to stay long-term in Edmonton. Bob Stauffer added that Draisaitl, who will be a free agent after the next season, already started to negotiate for an extension:
"Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid have reportedly made it clear to the Edmonton Oilers management/owners that they have no intentions of leaving or testing free agency, and want to re-sign long-term in Edmonton. Per, Frank Seravalli.

According to Bob Stauffer, the Oilers and Draisaitl have already begun extension discussions, and Draisaitl wants to be locked up long-term, not like the Auston Matthews deal in Toronto."

Both players seem poised to play together in Edmonton for a very long time, and while they must focus on tonight's game against the Florida Panthers, Oilers fans will be relieved to know that they plan on staying long-term.
Do you think Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid will play their whole careers with the Edmonton Oilers?
