The Edmonton Oilers have added a new bottom-six forward to their roster who will compete for a spot out of camp.

Oilers Sign Erne

It was just announced that the Edmonton Oilers have signed Adam Erne to a PTO.
The #Oilers have signed forward Adam Erne to a professional tryout agreement (PTO).

Erne has spent the past four seasons with the Detroit Red Wings posting decent numbers. In 61 games last season, Erne potted 8 goals and 18 points in a forechecking role.
Erne was originally drafted by the Lightning in the 2nd round of the 2013 draft and played the first three seasons of his career in Tampa.
Throughout his 7 year career, Erne has played 355 games. He will now look to earn a roster spot with the Oilers and eventually help them towards a Stanley Cup.
