Wayne Gretzky, also known as The Great One, spoke in a recent interview about who in the NHL would be his dream players to play on a line with.

From One Great Oiler To Another

The first player that Gretzky chose was fellow Edmonton Oilers icon Connor McDavid. McDavid has been compared to Gretzky ever since he stepped foot into the NHL based on his skill, and Gretzky's recognization for his talent arises here.

"Connor because of his speed, he would open up the ice."

The second and final player that Gretzky chose to be his linemate was Washington Capitals franchise cornerstone Alex Ovechkin. Ovechkin is on the hunt to pass Gretzky himself in total career goals scored and is making some great progress, which has lead to Gretzky wanting to pair himself up with The Great 8.

"And then Ovechkin, because if you get him the puck, you know he's going to hit the net."

With these choices now revealed to all NHL fans, the next fun thing to do is wonder what it would be like to see Gretzky, McDavid, and Ovechkin all play together on that dream line.
