Galchenyuk's Move to Player Assistance Program

Following the recent contentious episode involving Alex Galchenyuk and the police, a considerable stir has been created on social media.
The uproar particularly escalated in the wake of Galchenyuk's public apology and subsequent enrollment in the NHL/NHLPA's Player Assistance Program.
Recognizing the need for help and seeking it out is a critical stride towards rehabilitation, and Galchenyuk's decision is commendable. Nevertheless, the situation took a sour turn when certain fans indulged in distasteful humor at the Montreal Canadiens' expense.

Inappropriate Jibes at the Habs from Leafs' Fans

The controversy was exacerbated by a Twitter post that included a photo of Carey Price, Jonathan Drouin, Logan Mailloux, and Alex Galchenyuk. All the individuals in the picture, barring Mailloux—who isn't yet part of the NHL—are present or past Habs who have enrolled in the Player Assistance Program.
A post like this is extremely harmful when you consider how hard it is to even reach out for help in the first place, it takes immense courage and these players should be celebrated for it, not ridiculed on a social media platform by insensitive jerks.
Such mockery of individuals seeking help is wholly inappropriate and does absolutely nothing to make the situation better. This act of insensitivity by certain fans further underscores an unfortunate pattern of callous behavior within the fanbase.
