Lucic Suspended After Major Arrest
On Saturday it was announced that Milan Lucic had been arrested for a domestic disturbance the day before. He was immediately placed on a leave of absence by the team.
The Boston Bruins have announced that Milan Lucic will be taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team after an alleged domestic incident involving Lucic took place Friday night.
Details from the night of Lucic's arrest retell a horrifying story allegedly perpetrated by Lucic while potentially drunk.
#UPDATE: I-Team sources say Lucic's wife called 911 and told Boston police her husband attacked and choked her. When officers arrived, sources added that Milan Lucic appeared drunk. #wbz
Yesterday before some of these updates were made Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery was given an opportunity to speak about Lucic's arrest.
Bruins Bench Boss Speaks On Lucic Arrest
Yesterday Jim Montgomery spoke to the media before their upcoming game. As expected much of the conversation was centered around Milan Lucic. Montgomery's comments are similar to other comments made by Bruins personnel in the wake of the incident.
Jim Montgomery on Milan Lucic:
«We're aware of the ‘Looch' situation, and as an organization that's something we take extremely seriously. ‘Looch' is taking a leave of absence from the team right now." (1/2)
"We support the Lucic family and we will continue to provide support and help for the Lucic family.»
Montgomery on the effect on the team:
"Our culture here is great and we care about each other, right? With that, it's not a normal day. But, we're professionals and we have a game to play tonight. We have to get ready for that."

With Montgomery's comments, he provides support to the Lucic family but does not comment on his thoughts about the actions themselves. He compliments his team's strong culture as a way they will be able to move forward.
