Lucic Enters a Not Guilty Plea and Is Granted Bail
Over the weekend, Milan Lucic was taken into custody following a situation at home that led to his wife's call to emergency services. He faced charges of assault and battery on a family member.
In his recent appearance at the municipal court for his arraignment, Lucic pleaded not guilty to these allegations.
"Milan Lucic pleads not guilty to an assault and battery charge in Boston Municipal Court, after being arrested for allegedly pulling his wife by her hair and trying to choke her during an argument, according to court records."
"Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic was released on personal recognizance bail Tuesday after pleading not guilty to assaulting his wife."
Now, Lucic will have to go through the judicial process, with a pretrial hearing scheduled for January 19th. He has been released on personal recognizance bail and has received authorization to join the next hearing via video link.
In the meantime, Lucic's association with the Bruins remains suspended, a decision that was taken soon after the incident was reported.
