The Winnipeg Jets have made a roster transaction by sending forward Jeffrey Viel back to the AHL.

Jets Send Viel Down

On New Year's Eve, the Winnipeg Jets called forward Jeffrey Viel up on an emergency basis.

The @NHLJets have recalled forward Jeffrey Viel from the #MBMoose under emergency conditions.

Viel has nine points (4G, 5A) in 24 games this season.

Viel did not play in the Jets' game against the Wild and has just been sent back to the AHL.
TRANSACTION: The #NHLJets have loaned F - Jeffrey Viel to the Manitoba Moose (AHL).

Viel has yet to play a game for the Jets this season but could do so if the Jets are in need of an enforcer.
