A former Bruins defenseman has taken his talents to Europe and has claimed the Bruins organization betrayed him.

Bruins Betray Stralman

The Boston Bruins recently concluded a season that will go down in NHL history as both remarkable and disastrous. Despite their record-breaking performance during the regular season, the Bruins experienced a heartbreaking early exit from the playoffs, leaving players and fans with mixed emotions as they reflect on the campaign.
With a team as strong as the Bruins, it was inevitable that some talented players would not receive the opportunities they deserved. Anton Stralman found himself among those who were left unsatisfied.
After joining the Bruins on a Professional Tryout (PTO) contract, Stralman believed he would become a key member of their defensive core for the season. However, he was only given the chance to play in eight games, leaving him feeling disappointed and overlooked.
This past offseason, Stralman made the decision to sign with HV71 of the SHL, a move that seems to signal the end of his NHL career.
Stralman has not remained silent about his dissatisfaction with the Bruins organization, accusing them of betrayal.
"They did as they probably thought at the beginning, it became a loan for a few months. Then they got rid of me in the AHL, you feel betrayed, that was not what we were talking about. It's just an example of how it can be."

Stralman expressed his belief that he deserved a permanent place in the NHL, rather than being relegated to the AHL.
"Then I wanted to join a team that had a chance to win," revealed Stralman. "I wanted a chance to compete for a spot on a team. I made it pretty clear that I wasn't going to be a loan player."

It appears that the Bruins organization did not view Stralman as a worthy candidate for their roster, and his role during their historic 2022-23 regular season will likely be overlooked.
